This daring project began with the purchase of an award winning house from an insurance company that was residing in one of Christchurch’s residential red zones. Finding an appropriate new site for the house was challenging but eventually a rear section in Northwood was identified as being suitable and was acquired.
This project required intensely collaborative work between architects, engineers, city planners, house transporters and crane specialists. The original house wall configurations were completely changed and extensions were designed to create a luxurious 5 bedroom 3 bathroom residence.
Once the design and move phases were completed, the major modifications/additions took place and the result was absolutely spectacular.
