Originally this project involved the purchase of two 2 settlers’ cottages on long, narrow sections. The front two houses were subdivided off to create a new, blank section to the rear of the properties and subsequently the houses were fully restored and sold. This remaining rear section had been earmarked to accommodate 4x 2-bedroom townhouses.
Working with Christchurch City Council, engineers, city planners and our selected team, these 2 level apartments have been designed and will be built with a north facing view overlooking a landlocked private forest. Each courtyard will have private access to the forest via gates providing the ultimate in inner city living with close proximity to all the excitement of the rebuilt CBD but with the seclusion and privacy of your own private forest oasis.
